On 3/9/15, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Kareem Alexander (1500 Cherokee Rd., Johnson City, TN, 39 years old) and he was charged with Manuf/Del/Sell of a Controlled Substance, Schedule VI Drug Violations, and Violation of Light Law.
At approximately 8:36 p.m., officers were on routine patrol when they observed a vehicle with it’s high beams on traveling on W State of Franklin. Officers conducted a traffic stop on Mr. Alexander’s vehicle and when they made contact with the driver, the officer noticed a strong smell of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Officers searched the vehicle and located a large amount of individually wrapped baggies of a leafy green substance that is consistent with marijuana.
Police arrested Mr. Kareem Alexander and he was transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where Mr. Alexander is being held on a $5,000.00 bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on 3/10/15, in Washington County General Sessions Court.
