On 3/7/15, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Cody Farmer (Hampton, Tn., 27 years old) charging him with worthless checks over $500 and worthless checks under $500.
On 1/17/15, Farmer cashed a personal check at the Bank of Tennessee, 112 E. Mountcastle Dr., Johnson City. On 1/9/15, Farmer passed a second personal check. He received money from the transaction and deposited the remainder of the funds. Both checks were later returned to the Bank of Tennessee because they had been written on a closed account.
On 3/7/15, Cody Farmer had been arrested for similar charges and was being held in the Washington County Detention Center. The arrest warrant on Farmer was then served. Farmer made bond on 3/7/15 and was released. A preliminary court date was set at 1:30 p.m. on 3/9/15 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
