PREPARED BY: | Officer Yee Chai | APPROVED BY: | Sergeant Reggie Sparks |
On 01/24/15, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Michael D. Milam (1910 E. Watauga Ave, 29 years old) and charged him with Aggravated Burglary and Criminal Trespassing.
At approximately 10:03 p.m., officers responded to 422 S. Broadway St., where Milam was attempting to gain entry through a back window. This was the second time officers had been to this residence. Earlier at 15:40 p.m. officers responded on a domestic disturbance between Milam and his girlfriend, with whom he has a child. During that incident Milam was told not to return. When officers arrived the second time they observed the back window had been pushed in. Officers obtained information that Milam may have gone to a friend’s house located at 911 Pardee St. As officers were knocking on the front door Milam was taken into custody as he tried to escape out the back door.
Milam was transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $21,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on 1/26/15 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
