On 01/23/15 at approximately 12:55p.m., an Officer of the Johnson City Police Department was on patrol when he observed a two vehicle crash at the intersection of N. State of Franklin Rd. and Med Tech Pkwy. Injuries were reported in both vehicles. Both parties of one vehicle were transported to the Johnson City Medical Center by WC/JC EMS while the single occupant of the other vehicle was transported to Franklin Woods Hospital by private vehicle. All parties involved were in stable condition at the time of this report.
Investigation revealed that the vehicles were traveling opposite directions on N. State of Franklin Rd. when one vehicle attempted to turn West onto Med Tech Pkwy. The turning vehicle failed to yield to oncoming traffic and was struck in the passenger side door.
The investigation is ongoing and being conducted by the Johnson City Police Department Traffic Crash Reconstruction Team.
