On 12/13/14 at approximately 0900 hours Officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested 44 year old Ronald C. Meyers on charges that stemmed from an investigation on 12/12/14. It was determined that Meyer’s had abruptly stopped in the lane of traffic causing his ex-girlfriend who was following in another vehicle to rear end him. During the course of the investigation officers determined that Meyer’s license was revoked and he had been classified as a Habitual Motor Offender. Meyers had fled the scene prior to officer’s arrival so warrants were taken out charging him with driving on a revoked license (HMO) and reckless endangerment. Meyers is currently being held on a $6,000 dollar bond at the Washington County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in Washington County General Sessions Court on 12/15/14.
