On 07/22/14 at approximately 0700hrs, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Michael W. Holder, 43 yoa, of General Delivery, Johnson City, Tn. on charges of Burglary. The arrest occurred after a passer-by noticed a broken window in the alleyway of Capone’s Bar, 227 E. Main Street, which appeared to be caused by a concrete rock thrown through the window. Officers located Mr. Holder lying on the ground asleep approx. 50 yards away from the scene with fresh abrasions on his back and a large bottle of Jack Daniel’s whiskey at his side. Upon the owner’s arrival it was discovered that the bottle of whiskey found next to Mr. Holder was of the size typically only sold to bars and restaurants and was the only item found to be missing from the burglarized bar after a quick inventory.
Mr. Holder was transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he is currently being held in lieu of a $10,000 bond. He is scheduled to be arraigned in General Sessions Court on 07/24/14 at 1330 hours.
