On 04/22/14, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Sherman Love, 32 yr old male, 407 West Main St. Apt#3, Johnson City, TN, and charged him with Identity Theft, Driving on Revoked License, Improper Registration, and Financial Responsibility.
At approximately 3:00 p.m., Investigators of Johnson City Police Department's Criminal Interdiction Unit initiated a traffic stop on a gold Chrysler minivan near E. Myrtle Ave. and N. Broadway St. During the investigation of the traffic stop, Mr. Love identified himself as a different person. Officers were able to positively identify Sherman Love when one of his friends walked near the area of the traffic stop and yelled his name aloud.
Mr. Love was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of an $11,000 bond. An arraignment is set for 04/23/14, at 1:45 p.m., in Washington County General Sessions Court.
