On November 4th, 2020, Officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Mr. Michael L. Peterson (37 year old male, Watauga, TN), on charges of Theft of Property (over $1,000). The arrest was the result into a utility trailer theft that occurred on 09/23/20 in the area of Montgomery St in Johnson City. The trailer and a stolen truck were both found in Mr. Peterson’s possession later that date at a Wagner Rd address in Watauga, TN. Mr. Peterson was already incarcerated at the Washington County Detention Center on other charges when he was served with the Theft charge. Mr. Peterson is currently being held in the Washington County Detention Center on a $2,500 bond with a court arraignment set for November 5th, 2020 at 1:30 in the Washington County General Sessions Court.
