On 10/24/20, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Julian Alvarez (702 W Watauga Ave., 18 years old), Jason Morrison (402 Glen Oaks Dr., 18 years old) and two juveniles and charged them each with one count of robbery.
At approximately 2:50 a.m. on 10/24/20, officers responded to University Edge Apartments (906 W Watauga Ave.) in reference to a fight in progress. Upon arrival officers made contact with the victim who works as security at the apartment complex. He stated that while he was on patrol in the parking lot he approached a group of individuals that were not supposed to be on the property. The victim stated that when he told them to leave the group became hostile and began assaulting him. During the altercation one of the suspects took the victim’s phone. The victim gave a vehicle description for the vehicle that the suspects fled in.
A short time later the suspect vehicle was located with four individuals inside. The four suspects were transported to headquarters for further questioning. After the investigation, the four suspects were charged with the crime. Mr. Alvarez and Mr. Morrison were transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where they are being held in lieu of a $20,000 bond. Their arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on 10/26/20 in Washington County General Sessions Court. The two juveniles were charged and released into the custody of their parents.
