On 07/27/20, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Jacob Adams (182 Whiticker Rd., Jonesborough, TN, 24 years old) and charged him with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment X2, simple possession, and unlawful drug paraphernalia.
The arrest came as a result of a road rage incident that occurred in the area of I-26 east at MM 19. At approximately 06:00 P.M., E911 Dispatch received a call from the victim advising that a male passenger in a Chevrolet Trailblazer had fired a handgun in the direction of her vehicle. Officers were able to locate the Trailblazer and initiate a traffic stop where contact with Adams was made. Investigation showed that Mr. Adams had fired his handgun into the air three or four times while his fiancé and infant child were also in the Trailblazer. Search incident to arrest showed that Adams had marijuana and a glass pipe hidden on his person.
Adams was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $40,000.00 bond. Arraignment is set for 01:30 P.M. on 07/28/20 in Washington County Sessions Court.
