0n 07/20/20 officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Kevin T. Hartsell and charged him with one count of Felony Reckless Endangerment (TCA 39-13-103). Mr. Hartsell is 30 years old and resides at 513 Fernwood Dr.
At approximately 4:55 p.m. officers received reports of a white Ford SUV traveling West on I-26 passing milepost #16. Multiple callers had reported that the white SUV was operating in a reckless manner swerving in and out of traffic and braking abruptly. This continued until the West off ramp at Exit #13 where the white SUV forced a tractor and trailer on to the off ramp. The white SUV then drove through the grass median and cut in front of the tractor and trailer causing a collision. The SUV then hit the guardrail where the driver Mr. Hartsell exited the vehicle and attempted to get the driver of the tractor and trailer to fight.
Mr. Hartsell was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $10,000.00 bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on 07/21/20 in Washington County Sessions Court.
