On 07/21/2020, Officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Rachel L. Walton (1112 King Springs Rd. Apt. 9, Johnson City, TN. 40 years old). Rachel L. Walton was charged with Aggravated Assault (Domestic).
On 07/21/2020 at 16:14 hours, Officers responded to 1112 King Springs Rd. Apt. 9 in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with suspect Rachel L. Walton, the juvenile victim, and witnesses at the apartment complex. A witness advised officer that she had recorded video footage of Ms. Walton angrily throwing objects out of her apartment. The complainant then showed officers the video footage on her cellphone of Ms. Walton the offense. Ms. Walton threw a chair out of her apartment that almost struck the juvenile victim (Ms. Walton’s daughter). The complainant and witness statements corroborated with the video footage of the assault.
Johnson City Officers arrested Ms. Walton and she was transported to the Washington County Detention Center. Ms. Walton is being held on a $25,000 bond and her arraignment is on 07/22/2020 at 1:30 p.m. at Washington County General Sessions Court.
