On 5/30/2020 at 8:00 p.m., Officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Justin A. Hoffman (D.O.B. 09/18/1969),General Delivery, and charged him with Possession of Stolen Property (vehicle), Altering a License Plate, Simple Possession of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia, Criminal Impersonation and Criminal Trespassing.
Officers were dispatched to Walmart, 3111 Browns Mill Rd. to investigate suspicious activity in the parking lot. Justin Hoffman was found to be in possession of a stolen Jeep Patriot with an altered license plate. He gave officers false information about his identity and was later properly identified. Further investigation revealed he had been trespassed from Walmart in 2019 for a prior shoplifting arrest. Hoffman had drug paraphernalia and a white rock substance believed to be methamphetamine in his pocket.
Hoffman was arrested and transported to Washington County Detention Center where he is being held on a $15,000.00 bond. An arraignment is set for 6/1/2020 at 1:30 p.m. in Washington County General Sessions Court.
