On 5/31/2020, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Justin A. Hoffman (Johnson City, 50 years old)and charged him with burglary and theft under $1,000.
On 5/30/2020, officers responded to Antique Mall, 112 Sunset Dr., to investigate a theft. Officers were able to view video surveillance that showed Hoffman enter the building, break a locked display case, take all of the property, before fleeing in a Grey Jeep Patriot. Hoffman was arrested hours later in that vehicle on an unrelated incident and the property was recovered.
On 5/31/2020, Hoffman was served with an arrest warrant at the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held on other charges. He is being held in lieu of an additional $2,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on 6/1/2020 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
