On 05/28/20, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Mark D. Thomas (206 E. Myrtle Ave., 50 years old) and charged him with Aggravated Domestic Assault.
At approximately 11:10 p.m., officers were dispatched to 206 E. Myrtle Ave. in reference to a domestic assault. Upon arrival I made contact with the victim who stated that her boyfriend, Mr. Thomas, choked her to the point of losing consciousness and kicked her. The victim stated that she was in a verbal argument with her Mr. Thomas when he pushed her to the ground and choked her. She was able to find a BB gun and hit Mr. Thomas several times with BB’s in order to get him off of her and away from him.
He was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he is being held in lieu of a $20,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 10:30 a.m. on 05/29/20 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
