On 5/20/20, officers of Johnson City Police Department arrested Ivory Taylor (3211 Mayfield Dr. 28 years old) and charged her with one count each of burglary and theft of property under $1,000.
At approximately 7:00 p.m., officers responded to Walmart (3111 Browns Mill Rd.) in reference to a shoplifting. Investigation showed that Ms. Taylor failed to scan several pieces of merchandise at a self-checkout register. It was also discovered that Ms. Taylor had been formally trespassed from all Walmart properties earlier this year. Due to Ms. Taylor unlawfully being on the property while shoplifting she was taken into custody for burglary.
Ms. Taylor was transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he is being held in lieu of a $2,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on 5/21/20 in Washington County Sessions Court.
