On 05/20/2020, Officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Sydney V. Briggs (316 Ova Edwards Ct., Jonesborough, TN. 20 years old). Sydney V. Briggs was charged with Aggravated Assault (Domestic).
On 05/20/2020 at 19:40 hours, Officers responded to 2203 McKinley Rd. in reference to a domestic disturbance. Officers made contact with the victim and he stated that his girlfriend, Ms. Briggs, was over at this apartment and she became rude to him. He asked Ms. Briggs to leave and she began to assault him. The victim stated that during the assault Ms. Briggs stabbed him in the back with a fork. The victim revealed that he had a superficial wound to his back from the assault.
Johnson City Officers arrested Ms. Briggs and she was transported to the Washington County Detention Center for Aggravated Assault (Domestic). Ms. Briggs’ bond is set at $5,000 and her arraignment is on 05/20/2020 at 1:30 p.m. at Washington County General Sessions Court.
