On 05/19/20, the Johnson City Police Department arrested Jerry Leary (2477 Lakewood Dr, 34 yrs old) and charged him with Auto Theft over $10,000.
The arrest stems from an investigation into the theft of a 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe from the area of the Tree Streets in Johnson City on 03/19/19.
The vehicle was recovered later that same day in Erwin and was processed for evidence. Items were found that linked Mr. Leary to the theft.
Mr. Leary is being held in the Washington County Detention Center in lieu of an $8,000 bond. He will be scheduled for Arraignment in Washington County General Sessions Court at a later date.
