On the evening of 9/17/19, officers stopped a silver Honda Accord for an improperly displayed license tag. After speaking with the driver, later identified as Bruce Williamson, 28 years old, of Elizabethton, Tennessee, it was determined that his license was suspended and he had several warrants out of multiple counties. Officers placed Mr. Williamson under arrest and completed an inventory search of his vehicle due to it being towed. Officers located a large amount of methamphetamine inside a backpack along with a bag of marijuana. Bruce Williamson was placed under arrest and charged with possession of methamphetamine for resale, simple possession schedule VI, driving on a suspended license, and improper display of a registration. Mr. Williamson was transported to Washington County Detention Center where he is being held on a $12,000.00 bond. Mr. Williamson will appear in Washington County General Sessions Court on 9/18/2019 at 1:30 pm.
