On 06/30/19, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Summer V Roberts (346 S Broadway St,32 years old) and charged her with aggravated assault.
At approximately 2:20 a.m., officers were conducting foot patrol in Keystone Apartments when they heard screaming near the 300 block of S Broadway St. Officers located a victim sitting in the grass bleeding from a severe laceration to his forehead. Roberts was standing on a set of steps behind the victim with blood on her arms and legs. A large glass bottle which was also covered in blood was located on the ground near the victim. Investigation revealed that Roberts had been involved in a physical altercation with the victim during which she hit him in the head multiple times with the glass bottle. The victim was treated on scene by EMS but did not require transport to the hospital.
Mrs. Roberts was placed under arrest for aggravated assault and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where she is being held in lieu of a $20,000 bond.
Arraignment is set for 1:30p.m. on 07/01/19 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
