On 10/30/18, at 4:45 a.m., officers of Johnson City Police Department arrested Cody P. Lobsiger, 29, 260 Union Rd., Greeneville, TN, 37745 and charged him with Evading Arrest, Driving While Suspended 1st, Headlight Dusk/Dawn Violation, Speeding, and Red Light Violation.
The arrest stems from an investigation into a vehicle being reported for suspicious vehicle. The 911 caller identified the vehicle as a Ford Crown Victoria with a Florida tag. When officers first located the vehicle, it left the area towards the downtown area. The vehicle was once again located at W. State of Franklin Rd. at S. Roan St. and it did not have its headlights on. During the course of Mr. Lobsiger being followed, officers observed his vehicle run a red light and travel at a speed of 50mph in a 30mph zone. At this location a traffic stop was attempted but the vehicle refused to stop. The vehicle was last seen at Legion St. & King Springs Rd.
THP later apprehended the vehicle after it was spotted about an hour later. It was revealed that Mr. Lobsiger’s driver’s license was currently suspended.
Mr. Lobsiger was arrested and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held on a $11,000 bond. An arraignment is set for 10/31/18, in Washington County General Sessions Court.
