On 10/11/2018, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Angelina M Hyatt, 647 Nelson St. Kingsport, TN 37660, 27 years old, and charged her with one count each of Methamphetamine Poss/Deliver/Sell/Mauf, Possession without Prescription, Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia, and Shoplifting under $1000. The arrest is the result of an investigation for a report of a shoplifting occurring at 2011 N Roan St. Upon arrival to The Mall of Johnson City officers made contact with the complainant who reported that Ms. Hyatt shoplifted from the store along with a friend she was with. Officers then spoke to Ms. Hyatt who originally stated that she was in possession of drug paraphernalia. Ms. Hyatt was also found to be in possession of a small bag which contained what is believed to be methamphetamine and Alprazolam pills. Those items were confiscated and placed into evidence at the Johnson City Police Department. Ms. Hyatt was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where she is being held in lieu of a $13,000 Bond. Her arraignment is set for Friday, October 12, 2018, at 10:30 am, in Washington County General Sessions Court.
