NEWS RELEASE

     On Thursday October 11, 2018, Officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Brittany L. Morrell, a 21 Y/O female who resides at 2415 Textile St. in Johnson City and charged her with Vehicle Theft Over $1000, one count of Simple Possession of Methamphetamine and one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

The arrest is the result of the investigation into a suspicious vehicle at 4309 N. Roan St.  Ms. Morrell was driving a vehicle that was reported stolen out of Carter County Tennessee on October 4, 2018.  While searching the vehicle Officers located nine syringes and a set of digital scales. While searching, Ms. Morrell Officers located a small bag of Methamphetamine.

Ms. Morrell was arrested and transported to the Washington County Detention Center where she is being held on a $2,500 bond. Ms. Morrell is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday October 12 at 10:30 AM.
