On 3/10/2018, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Eric Young, 41 years old, 2110 E Unaka Ave Johnson City, and Edwina Orr, 42 years old, 2110 E Unaka Ave, Johnson City, on charges of shoplifting over $1000 and trespassing.
The arrests are the result of an investigation into a shoplifting incident that occurred at Walmart, 3111 Browns Mill Rd on 3/7/2018. During the theft, Eric Young entered the store and stole over $1400 in merchandise. After he exited the store, he was confronted by a store employee and he fled the scene in a vehicle driven by Ms. Orr.
Officers located both individuals at their residence and placed them under arrest. They were transported to the Washington County Detention Center and are each being held on $6,000 bonds. Their arraignments are scheduled for 3/12/2018 at 1:30 PM in Washington County Sessions Court.
