On 1/31/17, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Gregory Lynn Carnett (148 Greenbriar Dr., Hampton, TN., 44 years old) and charged him with fraudulent use of a credit card over $500.
On 1/22/16, officers responded to Jones OK Tire, 511 W. Market St., in reference to a reported credit card fraud. The victim reports she was having Gregory Carnett do some work at her house. Carnett was allowed to use the victim’s credit card to only purchase the materials to complete the work he was hired to do. Carnett then took the victim’s credit card to Jones OK Tire, and used it to have work completed on his personal vehicle.
On 1/31/17, officers located and arrested Carnett in Carter Co. He was then transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $1,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on 2/1/17 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
