On 01/30/2017 at approximately 2245 hours, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Hakeem Davis, 32 years of age, of 904 Huffine Rd, Johnson City, on a warrant for three counts of Vandalism over $1,000, Resisting Arrest, and Disorderly Conduct after he turned himself at the Washington County Detention Center. Warrants for Mr. Davis’ arrest were taken out on 01/25/2017 after officers responded to his residence in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, Mr. Davis was found to have vandalized two vehicles in the neighborhood with the damage estimated to be over $1,000 for each vehicle.
Further investigation into the disturbance revealed that Mr. Davis had also inflicted damage to the interior of the residence he was renting to include shattering windows, ripping out drywall, and destroying a thermostat. The damage to the residence is estimated to exceed $1,000. During officer’s attempts to take Mr. Davis into custody, he was sweating profusely and appeared to be in an extremely agitated state. Officers were eventually able to apprehend Mr. Davis as he initially refused to obey commands, charged officers in an aggressive manner, and then fled from officers on foot. Mr. Davis was transported to the hospital for medical evaluation due to his excited and irrational state.
Mr. Davis is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on 01/31/17 at 1330 hours to be arraigned.
