On 11/30/2016, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested 28 year old Jacob Potter and 46 year old Angela Leslie, both of 2811 E. Oakland Ave #21, Johnson City. The arrests occurred after officers responded to 2811 E. Oakland Ave in reference to complaints of narcotics activity. Upon investigating the complaint officers were able to find substances believed to be cocaine and methamphetamine in the couple’s apartment. In addition officers found drug paraphernalia and an unknown substance that will be processed and sent to the TBI lab for identification. Additional charges could be placed pending the identification of this unknown substance.
Mr. Potter was arrested on charges of possession of schedule II narcotics for resale, possession of methamphetamine for resale, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Ms. Leslie was arrested for maintaining a dwelling where drugs are sold.
Mr. Potter and Ms. Leslie were transported to the Washington County Detention Center. Mr. Potter is currently being held on a $20,000 bond while Ms. Leslie is being held on a $10,000 bond. Arraignments for both are scheduled for 12/01/2016, at 9:00 AM, in Washington County General Sessions Court.
