On Monday 11-28-16 at 1145 am, a School Resource Officer at Henry Johnson Alternative School, responded to a male student who was the victim of an assault. The officer arrived to find the victim on the floor. The victim had a knot on the back of his head. Further investigation revealed that a male student had struck the victim with his fist. Due to being struck, the victim fell to the floor and hit his head. The victim was transported to the hospital via ambulance.
As a result of the investigation, a 17 year old male student was charged with Aggravated Assault. The Juvenile was transported to the Upper East Tennessee Regional Juvenile Detention Center. An arraignment date had not been set at the time of this news release.
