On 06/19/16, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Steven A. France, 1025 Johnson Avenue, 32 years of age, on charges of Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Kidnapping, and Evading Arrest. On 06/14/2016 at approximately 12:03 a.m., officers responded to 1025 Johnson Ave in reference to a domestic disturbance. It was determined that a physical altercation occurred where the victim was assaulted and kept from leaving against her will by Mr. France. France ran from officers upon their arrival. The victim had severe injuries and was transported to the Johnson City Medical Center for treatment. Steven A. France was located at 1025 Johnson Ave on the 19th day of June. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a 75,000 dollar bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on 06/20/16 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
