On 7/17/13, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Daniel Fleming (8834 Clintwood Hwy Pound VA 24279, 24 years old) and Kyla Maria Jones, (1224 ½ Broad St. Elizabethton, TN. 37643 23 years old) charging them with attempting to obtain narcotics by fraud.
On 6/27/13 at approximately 2:00 p.m., officers responded to 222 E. Watauga Ave., Blankenship Pharmacy, in reference to a reported drug fraud. Upon arrival, employees of the business advised police that the two individuals attempted to pass a fraudulent prescription in an attempt to receive narcotics.
Both Fleming and Jones are charged with Drug Fraud and are currently being held in the Washington County Detention Center in lieu of a $10,000.00 bond each. Arraignment is set for both Fleming and Jones at 1:30 p.m. on 7/18/13 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
