On 7/22/15, investigators of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Kevin Lee Dugger (2012 E Unaka Ave, 30 years old) and charged him with aggravated burglary and theft over $500.
The arrest comes as a result of an investigation into Dugger being a suspect on multiple burglaries in the Johnson City area. While being questioned by police on 7/22/15, a burglary was reported in close proximity to the area Dugger was located by police. Property from the vehicle Dugger was operating contained property from this burglary. On 7/23/15, an eyewitness identified Dugger as the perpetrator at a different burglary that happened on 6/30/15 at a separate Johnson City home. This identification helped link investigators to Dugger as a suspect to an additional four home burglaries in the Johnson City area. More charges are pending.
Dugger was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $25,000 bond. Arraignment was set for 1:30 p.m. on 7/23/15 in Washington County General Sessions. On 7/23/15, Dugger was served with another warrant charging him with an additional four counts of aggravated burglary, two counts of theft over $1000 and two counts of theft over $500. Dugger is currently in the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of an additional $50,000 bond as a result of this most recent warrant. His arraignment is set for 10:30 a.m. on 7/24/15 in Washington County General Sessions.
