On Sunday, May 17th, 2015, at approximately 9:30 p.m., officers of The Johnson City Police Department received information about a possible intoxicated driver. A vehicle matching the description given was located and a traffic stop was attempted for a traffic violation. The vehicle failed to stop for activated emergency equipment used to initiate the stop. After traveling almost three miles, the vehicle was stopped at the intersection of Plymouth Rd. and Old Lewis Rd. The driver was identified as Linda R. Mays (D.O.B. 04/28/1962, residing on Plymouth Rd. in Johnson City). After a short investigation, Mays was arrested for Driving Under the Influence 1st, Evading Arrest, and Violation of Implied Consent. Mrs. Mays was transported to Washington County Detention Center without further incident where she is being held on an $11,000.00 bond. She is scheduled to appear in Washington County General Sessions Court on 05/18/15 at 1:30 p.m.
