On 3/27/15, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Natasha D. Baker (316 Hamilton Street, 33 years old) and charged her with identity theft.
While on routine patrol, officers were flagged down by a citizen in reference to a female who had an active warrant for violation of probation inside 225 E. Main Street. Officers responded to that location and upon entering the business, observed a female matching the description given by the citizen. Upon speaking with the female, she gave two false identities in an attempt to elude officers from obtaining her correct information. After conducting an investigation, it was determined that the correct identity of the female was Ms. Baker. Officers then confirmed that the warrant was active on Ms. Baker and she was taken into custody without incident.
Ms. Baker was transported to the Washington County Detention Center where she is being held in lieu of a $10,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on 3/30/15 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
