On 4/10/15, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Walter W. Witt (1409 Narrow Lane, Apt # 4, 32 years old) and charged him with Aggravated Domestic Assault and Vandalism.
Officers responded to 1409 Narrow Lane, Apt. # 4 in reference to a domestic disturbance that had turned physical. While enroute, officers were advised that the female victim had gotten away from the residence and was awaiting officers at the gas station at Southwest Ave and Cherokee Rd. Upon speaking with the victim, she stated that the abuse had been going on for the past three days. The victim provided a written statement as to what events had taken place and she had obvious bruising on her legs, scratch marks to her throat and some damage done to her vehicle.
Officers obtained a warrant for Mr. Witt’s arrest and he was ultimately located at 100 W. Poplar Street, where he was taken into custody without incident. Mr. Witt was transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he is being held in lieu of $50,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on 4/13/15 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
