On 04/14/2015 at approximately 5:43 p.m., officers of the Johnson City Police Department responded to a felony shoplifting at Kohl’s (190 Marketplace Blvd). The defendant selected multiple items and put them in his shopping cart. The defendant then went into the fitting room and concealed merchandise in a back pack and on his person. The defendant was stopped by Kohl’s loss prevention officer in which 21 items were recovered totaling $731.00. John D. Humphrey, 30 years of age, of 182 Green Pond Rd. Johnson City, TN was charged with felony shoplifting. Mr. Humphrey was transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he will be held on a $4,000 bond. An arraignment is set for 04/15/2014 at 1:30 p.m. in Washington County Session Court.
