On 9/30/16, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Shawn E. Williams (229 Roberts St., Harriman ,Tn., 28 years old) and he was charged with Felony Possession of Schedule VI for Resale and Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia.
At approximately 12:30 a.m. on 09/30/16, officers of the Johnson City Police stopped an older model Chevrolet Caprice for a traffic infraction. During the stop officers detected the overwhelming smell of marijuana emitting from the vehicle as well as a scale in plain view. Officers then questioned the driver of the vehicle who was identified as Shawn Williams about the smell. Williams admitted that there was a small amount of marijuana inside the vehicle and officers conducted a probable cause search. Inside the vehicle officers located a small baggie of a leafy green substance that was determined to be marijuana and a US Postal box that contained a felony amount of liquid THC, which is a Schedule VI controlled substance. Officers then conducted a search of Mr. Williams and located a large sum of money. Police arrested Mr. Williams, and he was transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held on a $11,000 bond . Arraignment is set for 09/30/16, at 10:30 a.m., in Washington County General Sessions Court.
