On 05/27/18, Officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested 27 year old Randy R. Pritchard, 827 Clairmont Dr Johnson City, and charged him with Theft of Property over $1,000.  The arrest stemmed from a complaint of jewelry being stolen at a Clairmont Dr address in which Pritchard admitted to taking the jewelry and selling it.  Pritchard is being held in the Washington County Detention Center under a $5,000 bond and is scheduled for arraignment on 5/29/18 at 1:30 pm.

On Monday, May 28, 2018, at approximately 3:30 am, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Jackson Pohto (20 years of age, 700 Rambling Rd, Johnson City, TN) and Delmar Mack (28 years of age, 1301 Seminole Dr, Johnson City, TN) on the charges of Manufacture/Delivery/Sale of Schedule VI and Schedule IV, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Simple Possession/Casual Exchange. 

The arrest was the result of an investigation into a 911 call about a suspicious vehicle. A homeowner called 911 to report an unknown vehicle in her driveway. Upon officer’s arrival, both Pohto and Mack were located in the vehicle smoking marijuana. After further investigation it was determined the two had met up to sell one another Clonazepam and marijuana.

Pohto and Mack were then arrested and transported to the Washington County Detention Center where they each are being held on a $10,000 bond. Their arraignment is set for Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at 1:30 pm in the Washington County General Sessions Court.

On 5/27/18, the Johnson City Police Department arrested Randall Bennett (394 Charlie Hicks Rd., Jonesborough, 34 years old) and charged him with Robbery, Sexual Battery, and Aggravated Burglary.

The arrest comes as a result of an investigation that was initiated on 5/26/18 where a female victim had her purse stolen by force and was sexually assaulted by a known suspect. The suspect also utilized the victims keys to enter her residence.

On 5/27/18, Randall Bennett was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he is being held in lieu of a $25,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on 5/29/18 in Washington County General Sessions Court.

On 5/29/18, the Johnson City Police Department arrested Misty Harris (132 Webb Ln., Erwin, 41 years old) and charged her with two counts each of theft of property under $1,000 and identity theft.

The arrest comes as a result of an investigation where on 3/8/18 a man reported his credit card being fraudulently used on two internet purchases. Through the course of the investigation Harris was identified as the suspect.

On 5/29/18, Misty Harris was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center where she is being held in lieu of a $750 bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on 5/30/18 in Washington County General Sessions Court.

On 5/30/2018, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested James Blackburn (1110 High St., Johnson City, TN; 34 years old) and charged him aggravated assault.

At approximately 1:00 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Johnson City Medical Center in reference to a stabbing that had occurred in the area of S. Roan St. and Plymouth Dr.  Simultaneously, officers were also dispatched to a suspicious person, later identified as Blackburn, covered in blood around S. Roan St. and Bonita Dr.  During the investigation, it was found that Blackburn had stabbed the juvenile victim multiple times during an altercation.

Blackburn was transported to Washington County Detention Center, where he was held on a $50,000 bond.  Arraignment was set for 1:30 p.m. on 5/31/2018 in Washington County General Sessions Court.

On 6/1/2018 at 9:20 p.m. Officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Samuel L. Bellamy (D.O.B. 11/6/1980, 1313 Fairview Ave.  Kingsport, TN) and charged him with Aggravated Assault and Public Intoxication.

Officers were dispatched to McDonald’s, 2101 N. Roan St. on a male threatening employees and customers with a pocket knife. Officers made contact with Samuel Bellamy at McDonald’s who was intoxicated and being disruptive. Employees at McDonalds provided statements of Bellamy demanding his drink while pointing a knife at employees and customers. Bellamy was arrested and transported to Washington County Detention Center. He is being held on a $5,500.00 bond. An arraignment is set for 6/4/2018 at 1:30 p.m. in Washington County General Sessions Court.

On 6/4/2018 at 8:28 p.m. Officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Brandy M. Nelson (D.O.B. 8/21/1984, 1115 Valley Dr. Erwin, TN) and charged her with Possession of a Controlled Substance With the Intent to Manufacture, Deliver or Sell the Controlled Substance and Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia.

Officers were dispatched to Big Lots, 3110 E. Oakland Ave. on suspicious persons leaving two backpacks and a Playstation 3 on the sidewalk. Officers searched the abandoned property outside the store in attempt to locate the owner and found narcotics, digital scales, baggies and various other paraphernalia used for the consumption of narcotics inside the backpacks. Ms. Nelson emerged from the store to retrieve the property and she was placed under arrest and transported to Washington County Detention Center. She is being held on a $10,000.00 bond. An arraignment is set for 6/5/2018 at 1:30 p.m. in Washington County General Sessions Court.

                On 6-4-18, officers of the Johnson City Police Department were called to 2004 Millennium Place to investigate a report of a man with a gun. Upon police arrival, a bystander pointed out the vehicle that the man with a gun was in. As the vehicle tried to leave, a traffic stop was attempted. The vehicle fled the traffic stop on W State of Franklin Rd. A short time thereafter, the same vehicle was found wrecked and abandoned in the Food City parking lot on N State of Franklin Rd. The driver, 22 year old Cody Albu of Telford, TN, was found nearby and recognized as the driver that fled police. Although no gun was found, Albu was arrested for felony evading arrest, driving on a revoked license, reckless endangerment and leaving the scene of an accident. He is currently being held in the Washington County Detention Center on a $13,000.00 bond. Albu is scheduled for a court appearance at the Washington County Justice Center on 6-5-18 at 1:30 p.m.

                On 6-4-18, an officer of the Johnson City Police Department arrested 19 year old Victoria Taylor of Kingsport. Ms. Taylor was charged with underage possession of alcohol, criminal simulation and public intoxication stemming from an investigation into a 2 a.m. traffic stop at 2203 McKinley Rd. in which Taylor was a passenger. She was booked into the Washington County Detention Center and assigned a $2500.00 bond. Taylor is scheduled to appear in court on 6-5-18 at 1:30 p.m. at the Washington County Justice Center.

                On 6/4/2018, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested John Woodard, 23 years old, 1000 Whittling Wood Dr, Johnson City, on charges of identity theft, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

                On 6/4/2018, at approximately 9:50 PM, officers investigated a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of Red Roof Inn, 210 Broyles Dr., Johnson City. One of the occupants of the vehicle, John Woodard, was found to be in possession of a handgun and drug paraphernalia. When officers made contact with him and asked him for his identification, he provided a friend’s identification. Officers were able to determine his true identity and learned that he had active arrest warrants in Washington County.

                He was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he is being held on a $6,000 bond. His arraignment is scheduled for 6/5/2018 at 1:30 PM in Washington County Sessions Court.

                On 6/5/2018, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Jonathan Reynolds, 25 years old, general delivery, Johnson City, on charges of possession of methamphetamine for resale, possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, maintaining a dwelling where narcotics are sold, simple possession, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

                On 6/5/2018 at approximately 2:00 AM, officers went to Econolodge, 207 E Mountcastle Dr., after receiving information about the sale of methamphetamine. During the investigation, officers made contact with Mr. Reynolds and found him in possession of meth, a handgun, and drug paraphernalia.

                Jonathan Reynolds was arrested on the above charges and transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he is being held on a $26,000 bond. His arraignment is set for 6/6/2018 at 1:30 PM in Washington County Sessions Court.

On 6/8/2018 at 1:32 p.m. Officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested James C. Scalf (D.O.B. 10/17/1983, 915 Dejarnette St. Elizabethton, TN) and charged him with Possession of Schedule II Narcotics, Theft of Property Under $1000 and Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia.

Officers were dispatched to Target, 2116 N. Roan St. to investigate a report of a male cutting open packages and concealing items on his person. He was searched incident to arrest for Shoplifting and was found to be in possession of 5.04 grams of a white rock-like substance believed to be methamphetamine, a green leafy substance with a Marijuana smell and Schedule III and IV prescription narcotics as well as a digital scale. He was transported to Washington County Detention Center where he is being held on a $12,000.00 bond. An arraignment is set for 6/11/2018 at 1:30 p.m. in Washington County General Sessions Court.

     On 06/08/18, at 6:44 p.m., officers of the Johnson City Police Department responded to Wild Wings Café, 71 Wilson Ave., in reference to a disturbance.  Upon arrival, officers made contact with a male subject who reported he was sitting in the restaurant when he noticed a female in the establishment, whom he had taken out an order of protection against.  The male further stated the female, 49 year old Debbie Fletcher Wampler, 7 Windridge Ct., Johnson City, approached and began to push him, while telling him to leave the establishment.  The victim was able to record the assault on his cell phone.

     During the course of the officer’s investigation, it was discovered the order of protection had been served on 05/18/18 by the Washington County Sheriffs Department.  Due to Ms. Wampler assaulting the victim while under an order of protection, she was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and violation of an order of protection.  She was transported to the Washington County Detention Center where she is currently being held in lieu of a $6,000 bond.  An arraignment is scheduled for Monday, 06/11/18, at 1:30 p.m.

On June 8th 2018 at 06:47 pm, Officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested, Joshua McKinley Williams, 35 years old, 3406 W Market St and charged him with possession of methamphetamine with the intent to sell, maintaining a dwelling where a controlled substance is sold, and unlawful drug paraphernalia.

The arrest stems from officers investigating possible drug activity at a local hotel. After Mr. Williams gave officers consent to search his room, officers located methamphetamine that had been divided between several small baggies, and several items of drug paraphernalia.

Mr. Williams was arrested and taken to the Washington County Detention Center where he is being held on a $21,000 bond. He is awaiting arraignment on June 11th 2018 at 01:30 pm in Washington County General Sessions.

On 6/8/18, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Christopher Antone (203 W Main St Johnson City TN 37601, 29 years old) and Holly Frye (606 Countryshire Ct Kingsport TN 37663, 39 years old). While on routine patrol, a vehicle had failed to yield from Boone St onto W. Main St. Officers negotiated a traffic stop and identified the driver as Antone, and the passenger as Frye. Upon assistance from K-9 unit, narcotics and unlawful drug paraphernalia were found inside the vehicle. Antone was placed under arrest for Failure to Yield, Driving on Revoked/Multiple, Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia, Methamphetamine possessing/delivery/sell/manufacture, Simple Possession/Casual Exchange. Frye was placed under arrest for Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia, Methamphetamine possessing/delivery/sell/manufacture, and Simple Possession. Antone was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $12,000 bond. Frye was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where she is being held in lieu of a $12,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 10:30 a.m. on 6/11/18 in Washington County General Sessions Court.

On June 11, 2018 the Johnson City Police Department arrested Marcia Ann Ferrell, w/f, 44 years old, of 101 Cripple Creek Rd and charged her with two counts of Forgery under $1000 and two counts of Theft of Property under $1000.  The arrest is the result of an investigation into a report that was filed by the victim who stated that two of his personal checks had been stolen from his mailbox and found to have been forged and passed at a bank in Johnson City.  Mrs. Ferrell is currently being held in the Washington County Detention Center in lieu of a $5,000 bond.  Arraignment is scheduled for 06/12/2018 at 1:30 p.m. in Washington County General Sessions Court.

On 06/12/18, the Johnson City Police Department arrested Fabian Miller (28 yrs old, 805 Hamilton St) and charged him with Motor Vehicle Theft over $1,000.  The arrest stems from an investigation into the theft of a  2001 Pontiac Grand Am from 111 Roseview Dr. Mr. Miller is being held in the Washington County Detention Center in lieu of a $5,000 bond.  He is scheduled for Arraignment in General Sessions Court on Wednesday 06/13/18 at 1 pm.

On 6/13/18, the Johnson City Police Department arrested Jose Morales (121 Jax Dr., Lot 9, Gray TN, 34 years old) and charged him with six counts of indecent exposure and six counts of the offense of soliciting sexual exploitation of a minor.

The arrest comes as a result of an investigation that began on 5/9/18 where two juvenile students from the Washington County School System reported that while riding the school bus on their way to school in the morning, witnessed an adult Hispanic male masturbating while driving his vehicle alongside the school bus. This occurred on Bobby Hicks Highway. The juveniles reported this occurred on three separate days. Through the course of this investigation the Johnson City Police Department identified the Hispanic male as Jose Morales.

On 6/13/18, Jose Morales was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he is being held in lieu of a $2,500 bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on 6/14/18 in Washington County General Sessions Court.

On 06/14/18 officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Johnathan Cross, 34 year old male, 107 Tamassee Dr. Johnson City, TN for aggravated assault (domestic), child endangerment, and misdemeanor vandalism.

On 06/13/18 at approximately 3:37pm officers responded to 107 Tamassee Dr. in reference to a possible domestic altercation. Investigation revealed Mr. Cross had been in a physical altercation with his girlfriend while she was holding her 1 year old child. The victim said Cross struck her in the head with a TV while she was holding her child. He knocked her to the ground, then continued to assault her while she was trying to keep the child from getting hit. Cross fled the scene, but was located by Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies at another location several hours after the incident. He was transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he is being held in lieu of a $10,000 bond. Mr. Cross has an arraignment in Washington County General Sessions Court on 06/15/18 at 10:30am.

On 6/14/18, the Johnson City Police Department, assisted by the Tennessee Highway Patrol and the Washington County Sheriff’s Department, arrested two people in connection with vehicle thefts that occurred at Chaparral Pontiac Buick GMC, 3514 Bristol Hwy. on 6/12/18.

 

Steve Necessary (Gray, TN., 42 years old), charging him with theft over $10,000 (2 cts.), possession of schedule II (Methamphetamine), possession of schedule III (Suboxone) and (2 cts.) possession of schedule IV (Clonazepam and Alprazolam).

Corey Jones (Gray, TN., 27 years old), charging him with possession of stolen property over $10,000, possession of schedule VI (Marijuana), and (2 cts.) possession of schedule IV (Clonazepam and Alprazolam).

After searching the vehicles and suspects, drugs were found in their possession.

 

Both were transported to the Washington County Detention Center where they will be arraigned at 10:30 a.m. on 6/15/18 in Washington County General Sessions Court. Steve Necessary is being held in lieu of a $24,000 bond and Corey Jones in being held in lieu of a $13,000 bond.
