On 02/06/2015, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Victoria C. Jones (107 Captains Ln. Lot 19, 18 years old) and charged her with 2 counts of Identity Theft and Underage Consumption.
The arrest was the result of an investigation into a report of juveniles using fake identifications to gain entry and drink at a local downtown establishment. A caller advised 911 of the descriptions of two females inside the establishment who were underage.
Upon arrival, officers located one of the females sitting at the bar drinking bottled beer. She was asked for her identification and produced a driver license and stated it was hers. The picture on the license was not her. Ms. Jones continued to insist that she was the person on the license until finally giving another name and date of birth. Officer pulled up a license photo of the second person she claimed to be and it also was not her. She finally admitted to her true identity and it was confirmed by her license photo. Further investigation revealed she was wanted out of Sullivan County on a Violation of Probation Warrant.
Jones was transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where she is being held in lieu of a $21,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 10:30 a.m. on 1/13/15 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
