On 1/30/15 at approximately 8:00 PM officers of the Johnson City Police Department responded to a residential burglary. The home owner had returned home after being away for several days to find an unknown subject inside. The subject is believed to have been residing at the residence in the home owner’s absence. The subject was awakened by the home owners return and fled from the residence. Officers were able to locate and positively identify the subject as 53 year old Ronald Sams. The property taken from the residence was located in Sams Possession and returned to the home owner. Sams was taken into custody and charged with Burglary, Resisting Arrest and Theft of Property under 500 Dollars. Sams is currently being held at the Washington County Detention Center on a 22,000 dollar bond. He is scheduled to appear in Washington County General Sessions Court on 2/2/15 at 1:45PM.
