PREPARED BY: | Officer Michael Whiteaker | APPROVED BY: | Sergeant Shaun Miller |
On 01/02/15, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested David Keller (407 Piney Flats Road, Piney Flats; 50-years-old) and charged him with Driving on a Restricted License – Habitual Motor Offender, Driving under the Influence 4th, Financial Responsibility, Seat Belt Law, and Violation of Implied Consent.
While on patrol, officers observed an unsecured driver near the intersection of Sevier Street and W. State of Franklin Road. Upon stopping the subject, who appeared to be intoxicated, officers found his license to be revoked for several prior DUI’s with the current classification of habitual motor offender. At the conclusion of field sobriety testing, it was determined that the driver was too impaired to operate a motor vehicle and was thus taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a bond hearing. David Keller’s arraignment is set for 01/05/15 at 1:30 p.m. in Washington County’s General Sessions Court.
