On Monday, December 15, 2014, at approximately 20:05 hours, Officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested two subjects on the charge Theft of Property over $500 (Shoplifting). The subjects were Keith Allen South of 787 Whispering Hills Rd, Boone NC, 19 years of age, and Tabitha Ashley Smith of 523 Blowing Rock Rd, Boone NC, 19 years of age. The arrests were the result of an apprehension by JCPenney’s loss prevention team on this date. All 19 items of cosmetic materials totaling $597.00 were recovered and both suspects were transported to the Washington County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond with an arraignment set for Tuesday, December 16, 2014, at 1:30 pm in Washington County General Sessions Court.
