On 10/27/2014 officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Tara N. Hall, a 28 year old female, and Simon Hughes, a 31 year old male, both of 293 S Austin Springs Road #98, Johnson City, on the charges of Felony Drug Paraphernalia and Felony Possession of Methamphetamine. Officers responded to a vehicle fire in the parking lot of 401 E Main Street and investigation revealed the cause of the fire to be components of methamphetamine manufacture and methamphetamines. Officers discovered approximately 6 “one pot” meth labs and approximately 10 other bottle components. The vehicle was registered to the female defendant, who was operating the vehicle at the time of the fire. Further investigation revealed the male defendant, who was located a short distance from the scene was also involved in the possession and manufacturing of the mathamphetamine. The defendants were charged with the above offenses and are being held in the Washington County Detention Center on $20,000 bond and awaiting a court hearing on 10/28/2014 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
