On 10/24/2014 officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Cynthia A. Elliott, of 7 Trivette Concourse #4, Johnson City, TN, a 33 year old female, on the charges of Identity Theft, Driving While Revoked (2nd Offense), Failure to Comply with Financial Responsibility, and Improper Display of Registration. Officers initiated a traffic stop on 8/17/14 when they observed a vehicle with its registration not illuminated traveling west on E Unaka Avenue. While stopped the defendant, who was driving the vehicle, identified herself as another person. Investigation revealed her true identity and that her TN driver’s license was revoked. The defendant was charged with the above offenses and is being held in the Washington County Detention Center on $11,000 bond and awaiting a court hearing on 10/25/2014 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
