Felony Arrest (Jesse Britt)

On 08/21/2014, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Jesse D Britt (303 Ninth St., Erwin, 35 years old) and charged him with DUI 5^th Offense, Driving on a Revoked License, and Financial Responsibility.

At approximately 12:05 a.m., officers responded to New Beginnings Night Club, 2910 Bristol Hwy, in reference to a vehicle spinning the tires in the parking lot.  Upon arrival officers found Mr. Britt sitting in a vehicle with the engine running and smoke coming from the engine compartment. Due to Mr. Britt’s level of intoxication he was transported to the JCMC for observation.

After being released from the hospital Mr. Britt was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a bond hearing.  Britt’s arraignment was set for 1:30 p.m. on 08/21/2014 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
