On 05/02/2014, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Sonie L. Carpenter, 24 yr old male, 404 Colorado St, Johnson City, TN, and charged him with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine and marijuana.
At approximately 6:00 p.m., Investigators of Johnson City Police Department's Criminal Interdiction Unit initiated a traffic stop on a maroon Oldsmobile Alero near E Market St. and Buffalo St. During the investigation of the traffic stop, Investigators uncovered crack cocaine and marijuana, along with drug paraphernalia items.
Mr. Carpenter was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $20,000 bond. An arraignment is set for 05/04/14, at 1:45 p.m., in Washington County General Sessions Court.
