On 12/13/2020, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Walter Perlotto, 408 Juniper St, Greeneville, 41 years old, and charged him with aggravated assault.
At 6:43 p.m., officers responded to the area of N State of Franklin Rd and W Market St in reference to an assault. Investigation revealed that the victim and Mr. Perlotto had been involved in a road rage incident when Mr. Perlotto pulled his vehicle into the path of the victim’s vehicle. Mr. Perlotto then exited his vehicle before assaulting the victim and damaging their vehicle. The victim exited their vehicle and attempted to prevent Mr. Perlotto from leaving the scene when he revved his engine and drove towards the victim.
Mr. Perlotto was placed under arrest for aggravated assault. He was transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he is being held in lieu of a $5,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 12/14/2020 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
