On 12/06/20, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Breanna L. Peace (2927 Whittle Springs Rd., Knoxville, TN, 29 years old) and charged her with theft of property (motor vehicle).
On 12/04/20 at approximately 1:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to intercept a vehicle that fled from the scene of a crash in Jonesborough. Through separate calls to emergency services officers ascertained that the vehicle became disabled near Luke’s Pizza within Johnson City limits. On arrival officers discerned that Peace was the driver and in possession of the vehicle at the time it crashed.
Later into the evening on 12/04/20 the owner of the vehicle awoke to his vehicle missing from his residence where Peace had stayed the night before. Peace was already incarcerated in the Washington County Detention Center stemming from the hit and run crash that occurred in Jonesborough, officers served the warrant for motor vehicle theft there. Peace is still incarcerated for prior charges in the Washington County Detention Center where she is being held awaiting arraignment on 12/07/20 at 1:30 p.m. in Washington County General Sessions Court.
