On 11/30/20, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested 47 year old Timothy Nickles of Johnson City and charged him with
Theft of Property - Motor Vehicle, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia.
At approximately 2:29 a.m., officers were on routine patrol when a spray painted gray Honda Civic was observed sitting
in a business parking lot after hours. Officers made contact with the vehicle occupant, later identified as Mr. Nickles. While
talking to Mr. Nickles it was discovered that the vehicle was reported stolen out of Johnson City on 11/28/20. During a search
of the vehicle, a small box that Nickles identified as his property was located. Inside the box was a substance that resembled
methamphetamine, two uncapped syringes commonly used for illegal drug use, and a glass pipe with what looked to be
methamphetamine residue visible.
Mr. Nickles was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held
in lieu of a $5,000.00 bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on 11/30/20 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
