On 11/29/20, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested 42-year-old Matthew K. Cutshall, 2318 Buffalo Rd, Johnson City, and charged him with aggravated assault (domestic related).
The arrest resulted after officers responded to 2318 Buffalo Rd. in reference to a subject reportedly trespassing on the property. The investigation revealed the incident to be a domestic situation involving roommates. Contact with the roommate resulted in allegations against Mr. Cutshall involving assault. The roommate reported Mr. Cutshall became angry and pointed a rifle to the roommate’s head. After pointing the rifle, Mr. Cutshall further placed the victim in fear by allegedly retrieving a machete and striking a door near the roommate.
Mr. Cutshall was arrested and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is currently being held on a $10,000 bond. An arraignment is scheduled for 11/30/20, 1:30 p.m., in Washington County General Sessions Court.
