On 11/21/20, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Jason Ball (283 Jim Town Rd, Jonesborough, TN, 45 years old) and charged him with driving under the influence (5th offense), identity theft, schedule II drug violation, schedule III drug violation, and possession of methamphetamine.
At approximately 1:15 a.m. on 11/21/20, officers responded to Walgreen’s (429 N State of Franklin Rd.) in reference to a subject passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Mr. Ball who appeared to be under the influence of an unknown substance. After Mr. Ball unsuccessfully completed the standardized field sobriety tests, he was placed into custody. While searching Mr. Ball subsequent to the arrest, officers located multiple pills and a container holding methamphetamine. Also during the investigation, Mr. Ball repeatedly gave his brother’s identifying information in order to mislead officers.
Mr. Ball was transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a bond hearing. Arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on 11/23/20 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
